About
During the discussion of social injustices was brought up in a Highschool french class. Our three founders, Rand, Shanelle, and Pia, were quick to lead the conversation. From talking about the #BlackLivesMatter Movement during the spring and summer of 2020 to the Asian Hate Crime arising from the COVID-19 Virus to how a plastic disposable mask can harm animals. Thus, Lead The Convo started on October 15 of 2020.Lead The Convo is a non-profit organization based in Toronto that welcomes all to join the community. With the mission to use our platforms to lead the discussion for youth and others. We want to provide information and tools for the future generation to have knowledgeable conversations about social issues happening worldwide. Our goal is to shine a light on social issues that aren’t being covered in the news and media. A greater understanding of knowledge is essential for students to understand and interpret each other.Follow us on our journey @leadtheconvo on Instagram.

Join Our Advocate Team
A teen advocate is a young adult who serves the community by taking on the role of a peer educator through Lead the Convo and awareness campaigns.Being an advocate at Lead the Convo means contributing to the external aspects of the organization. Unlike the exec team’s responsibilities that are more behind the scenes, many will see the work you are doing. It also means a lot less commitment to the organization compared to an exec position.
